The first Zarathushthrian summer camp
Sweden,Amordadgan 3746 (July 2008)
Many Zarathushthrians in Europe celebrated Amordadegan, from 22-25 July 2008 at a Summer Camp in Sweden. This was the first time that the Amordadegan Festival was celebrated by the Zarathushthrians in Scandinavia. Zarathushthrians from Germany, Norway, Poland, the United Kingdom and of course, Sweden, had come to participate.
The program consisted of religious classes, discussions, live music and campfire. The significant part of the program was the Initiation Ceremony of a group of men and women, who, after careful consideration and of their free will, chose "Good Conscience," the Zarathushthrian religion for themselves. It was a picturesque scene.
The camp was organized by the Zarathushtrian Assembly (Swedish branch), the Shahnameh and Iran Association, and DNZT.
